Matka Polka Destruktorka – dwa oblicza dysfunkcyjnego macierzyństwa (na przykładzie „Szopki” Zośki Papużanki i „Gorzko, gorzko” Joanny Bator)

The aim of the article is to present two different images dysfunctional motherhood in contemporary fictional Polish prose on example novel “Gorzko, Gorzko” by Joanna Bator and “Szopka” Zośka Papużanka. first them, represented protagonist Violetta Serce Gorzko”, fits current literature trend creating an anti-mother character, enemy who usually perceives a child as “problem” or unable does not want / cannot show him her feelings, because it obstacle for her. second nameless mother Papużanka’s “Szopka”, identifies so-called “Gastronomic mother”. analysis shows that last decades still lacks figure mother-friend, trauma being born growing up realities PRL’s capitalism has permanently entered minds writers, destroying optimistic hopes successful family life motherhood.
